Is River Island still Relevant?

Image
The next and final instalment of my blog is on River Island. This is a shop that I no longer hear people greatly talk about, so I decided to have a look for myself. There are 2 of these stores in town but I will be focusing on the one located on Argyle Street as it is bigger and more noticeable.    In case you have missed them, my previous blogs have been H&M, Urban Outfitters, Primark and Tk Maxx so feel free to check them out and find out where to get your discounts!   Opening times of River Island Argyle Street- Mon- Wed- 9am- 5.30pm Thurs- Sat- 9am- 6pm Sun-           11am- 5pm   The shop itself, products, and availability  River Island has a bold white sign and a large window display which ensures consumers are drawn into the shop. It is also directly across from Argyle Street train station so is eye-catching and convenient for anyone getting off the train. Ideal! They mainly sell clothing item...

Is there actually good stock in Tk Maxx?

Image
Known for resembling a rummage sale, my next blog is on Tk Maxx. This is a shop that will have different stock almost every time you visit. However, there are some consistencies which I will be diving into today.     Similar to my previous blog on Primark, there are also two Tk Maxx’s in Glasgow’s City Centre. I will be primarily discussing the one situated on Argyle Street as this would be my chosen shop to visit.    Opening times-   Mon- Sat- 9am-8pm Sun-         10am-8pm   The shop itself, products, and availability The vibe of this shop isn’t completely welcoming, it seems unstructured and doesn’t have the best inclusive feeling. However, this can work for Tk Maxx as due to everyone rummaging about, it simply couldn’t be structured any other way. On the front of the shop window, it states, “big labels small prices” and upon a great deal of looking I would say this is in fact true. They sell a range of clothes...

Can Primark still be regarded as a cheap shop?

Image
Welcome back to my blog! This week I will be focusing on the popular shop Primark. Although you may think you know Primark well, this blog will provide a different insight which you may have not considered. Therefore, enjoy the read!   To start off on a good note- there are in fact 2 Primark’s in Glasgow City Centre. One is situated on Argyle Street and one on Sauchiehall Street. Personally, I prefer the shop on Argyle Street as it is bigger so has more stock. However, if you catch the smaller one on a quiet day you can spot many good finds.    Opening Times-  Argyle Street Store-         Mon- Fri: 8am-8pm                                          Sat:        8am-7pm       ...

Are Urban Outfitters prices worth it?

Image
Hello and welcome to my second blog post. This will be a special edition mainly aimed at students, but nevertheless, everyone should have a read as most people do have students in their lives.    The High Street shop being analysed today is Urban Outfitters!   Opening times-  Mon-Sat- 9.30am-6.30pm Sun- 11.00am- 6.00pm   This shop is again situated centrally on 157 Buchanan Street. The building looks small from the outside but has a bright, light up sign which draws a great deal of attention. On my most recent visit, signs advertising 75% off were displayed on the shop windows. This also encourages customers to enter, making it a busy and dominant shop- perfect for my blog!   The shop and the products  Urban Outfitters provides a homely environment when you shop, with the décor being wooden with a bright feel, coming from various fairy lights. The stock is very diverse and provides, clothes, bags, branded shoes from other retailers, homeware, and other...

H&M- Hit or Miss?

Image
Hello and welcome to my first blog post! As mentioned in the about me section, I will be reviewing High Street stores and evaluating the value for money of their products. Additionally, I will be informing you all of discounts which are offered so everyone can get their hands on a deal! First up is H&M.  H&M in Glasgow is located centrally on Buchanan Street. Opening times-  Mon- Sat:  9am – 8pm Sun: 10am – 7pm  The building is very large and made of glass, which makes it very eye-catching for any pedestrians. Therefore, I thought this shop would make a great first blog post as it stands out on the High Street.  Products and Availability  This shop predominantly sells clothes; however, you can also find a range of jewellery, makeup, and accessories. H&M is very inclusive with their sizing and offer sizes 4-34 in their clothing (XS- 4XL). In saying this, on visiting the shop I failed to identify any accessible items above...
